One Step Ahead

The 3rd annual One Step Ahead student conference was a smashing success! Our yearly One Step Ahead conference is a unique conference that brings together students, residents from around the country, and DPMs.

We hosted virtual lectures Friday evening, featuring topics often not discussed inside the classroom and adding to your preparation of externships and residency.

Saturday morning, we hosted an in-person mini-lecture case series and hands-on lab to provide training with skills evaluation, on-site cadaver lab (as Stryker’s mobile bus returns for the 3rd year!), and open discussions between students, residents, and faculty.

This conference is the annual chance for anyone interested in S.T.E.P.S. and their educational series to come together and get real, in-person education they won’t find Monday-Friday.

Wherever you are, join us for virtual lectures.

All podiatry students are invited to join us a for a brief lecture series led by current podiatry residents from programs around the country, providing insight about topics ranging from externship to residency and the life adjustments between and after. You will also benefit from an early financial education, learning about options and financial implications for entrance into practice from a licensed CPA. Capping off the evening, enter to play for prizes as we give out swag & scholarship

Our in-person, hands on lab session this year is an excellent opportunity for podiatry students and residents to practice on saw-bones and learn from case presentations. The Stryker mobile cadaver lab will also be parked outside, with opportunity to practice dissection skills and hardware application, testing your skills under fluoroscopy. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all in attendance. A skills competition will also come with more prizes available!
